Stan Douglas

Stan has proudly served his community as a State Farm Agent for over 50 years, building lasting relationships grounded in integrity, reliability, and genuine care for others. For Stan, insurance has never been “just a business” — it’s a way to help people protect what matters most and feel confident about their future.

Born and raised in Mississippi, Stan moved to Louisiana to attend Louisiana College, where his journey into both his career and his lifelong community truly began. While in Alexandria in 1965, Stan met Jowanna, who was working at a local hospital at the time. Their meeting marked the start of a remarkable love story that would span more than five decades.

A firm believer in service beyond the office, Stan lives out the State Farm philosophy every day. “Like a Good Neighbor” isn’t just a slogan to him — it’s a way of life. Whether he’s assisting individuals and families through life’s unexpected moments or quietly helping someone in need, Stan is known for going the extra mile.

Outside of work, Stan is deeply involved in his church community at Graceworks Church, where faith, service, and fellowship play an important role in his life. He’s also a passionate supporter of LSU athletics, with a special place in his heart for LSU Women’s Basketball. For more than 20 years, Stan has followed the team closely and has attended every Women’s Final-Four appearance LSU has made, including witnessing their first National Championship victory in 2023.

Family has always been at the center of Stan’s life. Stan and Jowanna shared 581⁄2 years of marriage before her passing in 2024. Together, they raised two children, Traci and Terry, and today Stan is the proud grandfather of six grandchildren, who bring him endless joy.

With decades of experience, a servant’s heart, and a deep commitment to his community, Stan remains dedicated to helping others — just as he has for more than half a century.
